In the past, we've put these Newsletters out - directed toward Deejays - both as they spin for venues and on the air (or Internet). Now we have a brand new logo and a fresh impetus to speak to you.
Our point is two-fold: we represent artists we hope you'll like;
and we're trying to create some more community among Deejays. We
reminisce about the Record Pools, which occasionally had a Reggae
focus. We're hoping this conversation will lead us all in some
interesting directions.
Over the past year, we did PR for Shanachie Records and their Police Tribute album, as well as the lastest CD from Inner Circle.
More continuously, we've been representing Artists associated with KRucial Reggae directly, such as those featured to the left.
In the past, you may have gotten music from us.
If you do NOT have music from:
- Dub Station (and associated artists, like Sonbeam, Shaka Black, Tom O'Brien)
- Abijah (he's in Singapore currently, doing some shows representing Jamaica)
...let us know, and we can send you hard-copy CD's (confirm your address, and whatever you might already have on your shelves)
QUESTIONNAIRE
Now comes YOUR TIME: what do YOU think this Newsletter could be?
Because we're a fee-for-service program, we can't just post any and every news item we receive.
But we ARE looking at starting a KRucial Community Radio Podcast designed to feature a rotation of Dj's, let us know if you'd be interested in submitting one your (exactly 60 minute) segment?
We're also curious - where do you get your MP3's from - what's your favorite Free MP3 Site for new Reggae?
How do you like to receive music: MP3 attachment, or a through a link to a download site like YouSendIt?
