Come create the vibe of a new era of roots music in Boston.

...hot new Reggae haunt

Church Boston, 69 Kilmarnock Street - first night: Sunday, July 5th - in three weekends!

Easy to ge there - free parking behind the club (instead of turning left on Landsdowne- as you used to for Bill's - keep going down Brookline Ave, turn left on Kilmarnock, and go 2.5 blocks, it's between Peterborough & Queensberry).

Since the closing of Bill's Bar this spring, we've been searching for a new home for the KRucial Reggae series that graced Landsdowne Street for 13 years(!). We were seeking a combination of qualities in a venue: an exclusive relationship, intimate environment, good sound system, and collaborative management.

All those things exist at Church Boston, and more.

...great atmosphere

It's got a super-contemporary feel. Same capacity as Bill's was, but less cavernous. Good spacious bar, with easy access to the bartender. It is 21+, but that can be a good thing. The club opens at 5pm and stays open till last call, at 1:45am 7 days a week. Bands stop at 1am, so COME EARLY, softer DJ music or iPod spins out the night.

...club attached to classy restaurant

Amazingly, this tasty restaurant next door (of the same name) - is open at 5pm (often serving lunch as well), and serves IN THE BAR its full dinner menu right up until 11pm. There's salads, steak, seafood, and burgers (something for every palate). Combine your evening's portion of Reggae with a dining date!

...a great place to chill
