Don't miss our second BOB MARLEY TRIBUTE show NEXT Thursday -
October 8th in Somerville - featuring the full band & 4
vocalists!
|
 |
|
...here's the
skinny
|
|
Thursday, October 8th is Volume Two of the Bob Marley Tribute, featuring
Eric Smith (coming up from CT, with flag wavers!). He
sounds like Michael Rose & Junior Reid. Roberto Gell
has just returned from LA, he's got a few versions in store.
Jem-i and Skiffington both got bawling
big ups from the audience in Boston last week.
Everyone's gonna be backed by the Dub Station band, which (for this
night only) will include the original trio on bass, drums, and keys (Rider
McCoy!). The full band includes horns, guitar, and percussion as well, and
the group will be performing some instrumentals of Bob's classics,
demonstrating his, and their own capacity to deliver solid music even
without vocals.
The show's early again: 9pm till 12:30am (with DJ Ceez spinning
before, between, and after the 2 sets). Location is 17 Holland Street in Somerville, MA (in Davis
Square, across from the T). Lots of area parking, and
Johnny D's has a full service (and outstanding) restaurant open from
4pm.

...introducing KRucial Hip Hop
|
|
In a big splash of a kickoff, we're looking
to bring Old School Hip Hop artists Das
Efx to Church club Boston
Saturday, November 14th.
Details are being firmed up on this momentous event. It's important not
only because of the opportunity this show provides to witness the legendary
act live - but because the band will be backed by Dub Station - AND it
ushers in a new era in our promotions, as we branch into conscious hip
hop.
