Multi-Artist Showcase
Dion Knibb (pictured left) will be making his first Boston appearance with Dub Station in over a year at this show next Saturday. Known for his powerful pipes, he's got arguably the strongest voice in Boston. Singing in the tradition of Beres Hammond, Tarrus Riley, and Barrington Levy, he often outdoes the legends. This is particularly true with his Marley material.
Of course no one can touch Bob's soul, but Dion's renditions hammer the
lyrics so melodically and originally, that they give the songs new and
fresh meaning for today.
Unpictured, but equally a fixture on the Dub Station circuit, are Skiffington and Jem-i, both of whom will be making cameo appearances as part of the Holiday Celebration (12/12) THIS SATURDAY!

Rakia on the mic
Rakia's recently moved here from LA. After developing her Hip Hop performance and educational curriculum - she did a number of Reggae backing gigs for various projects (including Michael Fabulous, Roberto Gell, and Abijah) - and the style stuck. Now Rakia's doing both genres, and developing her own sound.
Pre-production with Dub Station - as well as a string of shows recently - is showing promise for two particular singles, to be worked out in the studio.
Next Saturday, come hear the debut arrangements of "Why Pose" and "She Be The One," and stay tuned for some actual new recordings. In the meantime, visit Rakia's MySpace to hear "Love Eternal," recorded live with Dub Station last month at the first-ever Conscious Hip Hop showcase.

ASN raps over reggae
Amir "ASN"
Nedjadi turned his life around after bunch of hard knocks and took his
lyrical skills into the studio after winning plenty of vocal
competitions at venues around New England.
Finding he was equally talented as a promoter, ASN put on or partook of a number of high profile shows at venues like the Paradise, the Strand, and Harpers Ferry. Featured artists he's shared the stage with includine Wu-Tang, AZ, Cam'Ron, Clipse, and most recently, Warren G.
Last month, ASN was a primary, featured act at the Edo-G & Masta Ace first-ever Conscious Hip Hop event KRucial produced at Church club, and was a key part in making that event the success that it was.
Come out next Saturday and witness ASN throw down
over Reggae versions of his most popular beats - available throughout
the internet - and featured in some high profile video games.
We invite all Dancehall artists out to check out this
unique combination, full of ideas and creative energy for the good. "Be
the Cure" is the movement ASN has started, find out more...

...new media outlet on Facebook
As some of you know, KRucial Reggae is really "fighting" two battles: one locally, and one globally, to get the word out about great music and artists you'll want to hear and see live.
We've just created Reggae Update Boston, or RUB
(like "what's the rub" or "what's the deal") as a page on Facebook. If
you're on Facebook already, become a Fan there (link below) and we'll
keep you posted on all the latest things we're working on.
Right now, all roads lead to Church club THIS week.
But next year, we're mixing it up. More Church, for sure, but also
Uptown at Johnny D's in Somerville. "Fan us" at the link below!
