THIS Thursday, November 11
at Johnny D's in Somerville
Pulling out the stops, and making a rare appearance on a Thursday, the award winning DUB STATION band (last seen at the Bob Marley Tribute earlier this Fall) is backing Roberto Gell and a few select openers (including ASN, see gig poster below), with fine backup vocals by Sandra D and vioin accompaniment by Lin Ling, who's flown in from LA
with Roberto Gell especially for this occasion: to share with you LIVE,
selections from the full length album due out this Winter. If you
haven't gotten an EP or downloaded it thru the links to the left, come
get a hard copy of these 5 fine songs...and hear extraordinary new ones
like "Ethiopians Want to Go Home," "Jah Jah Take Me," and "Thinking
'Bout You."
There will be one long set, starting early, and geared toward dancability and conscious lyrics.
We are very happy to be joined THIS THURS by selector Dub Nyce of Lotus Sound, a DJ from New York, who's been spinning many years. He's supported acts including Burning Spear, Lee Scratch Perry, and Mad Professor. He's toured the West Coast with Dub Station and Shaka Black. He's spun at the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, with Redman,
and various international artists. Come check out his mix CD's
(they'll be on sale) and ask him about Rhythm Building & Selector
work.

Always delivering a solid show with special guests and uniquely selected sets, Dis n Dat is outstanding as both a backing band AND showcase of original music.
at Johnny D's in Somerville
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17th
What
we've called the "Roxy of the North" - this fine function hall (and
adjoining restaurant) - has columns and architectural detail, a rarity
in North Shore venues. Dub Station is bringing a showcase of artists
there for a holiday celebration
a week before Christmas. Last time featured Michael Gabriel and the first date of the Roberto Gell minitour, and was a blast.
It's just up 93 and off 495,
closer than you think...
at Maria's Galleria
85 Essex St - Haverhill - MA
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 30th
To
round out the year, we're hosting one more RSVP / FREE show for you, as
a way of saying thank you for a great year, and setting the stage for
2011. Reggae shows rarely get venues right up next to New Years like
this, so we're thrilled at the opportunity.
